Landing Gear
PS-170K-1.5 is a light-weight, operationally reliable, FAA-certified landing gear system designed by Jonex Aerospace. It is designed for small aircraft such as the Piper Cub and is capable of landing up to 1,500 lbs on unimproved surfaces. The system consists of two main and two auxiliary landing gear struts, an oleo shock absorber, four wheel/brake assemblies, and two wing mounted landing gear retraction/extension pistons. The landing gear features air-oil shock absorbers which dampen gear movement under rough landings and ensure smooth operation. For additional safety, the landing gear is designed with a redundant-style operation, meaning that even if one component should fail, the other components will continue to operate.
