The JW1501A with PMIC, manufactured by JoulWatt, is a Battery Management SOP8 RoHS electronic part. It is a programmable, voltage-controlled, single-channel battery charge and discharge management IC that provides system-level protection for multiple-cell Li-ion batteries. It features adjustable programmable charge current and volts set through external resistors, and adjustable programmable discharge current and voltage through onboard voltage reference. The device features automatic voltage detection and current parameters programming, integrated over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-temperature protections, reverse current blocking protections, and low power consumption. It also offers short-circuit protection by limiting the charge/discharge current as desired through the internal switch, adjustable over-charging and over-discharge voltage protection.
