High School District
The CH 50K50 program (formerly known as the Central Valley Tech Pathways Program) is a program within the Kern High School District (KHSD) designed to increase college and career readiness for diverse student populations. It focuses on preparing students for high-demand jobs throughout the Central Valley by providing students with resources and support for academic, career and technical exploration. These resources include workshops, field trips, and college exposure events. The program also provides access to mentors, tutoring, career counseling, and job and college readiness activities. These activities help to ensure that all students have the necessary skills, preparedness and self-confidence to make informed decisions about their post-secondary journey. Additionally, the program is closely linked to local businesses and industries in the area, providing both internship and employment opportunities for program participants.
