Island
Kings Island is a 364-acre amusement park located 24 miles northeast of the city of Cincinnati, Ohio. The 1079-1 Part of Kings Island is a steel roller coaster located in the international themed Action Zone of the park. It was manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard and opened to the public in 2009. It is the park's first and only launched coaster, featuring two launches and a maximum speed of 68 miles per hour. The coaster's track is 4,460 feet long, making it the seventh longest coaster in the world, and features six inversions, making it the most inversions ever on a Bolliger & Mabillard coaster. The ride spans a vast land and is surrounded by lush landscaping, giving it a beautiful and unique setting. Guests reach the top of the ride's tallest hill of 150 feet tall before experiencing a series of high-banked turns, steep drops, and the fast launches, delivering a roller coaster experience unlike any other in the Midwest region.
