MOC3023S-TA1 Lite-On

The MOC3023S-TA1 with TRIAC & SCR Output Optocoupler manufactured by Lite-On is a solid-state optoelectronic device that uses an optically isolated triac input and two separate SCR outputs. This device is composed of an LED optically coupled to a potentiometer triac driver. The LED emits light when current is applied, which is then captured and converted into electrical output by the triac driver. The triac driver converts this electrical signal into a zero-crossing output signal. This zero-crossing signal can be used to trigger a triac or SCR, allowing for precise control of power switching applications. The MOC3023S-TA1 offers high isolation voltages of 5,000 Vrms and is designed to withstand up to 8A of inrush currents. It is commonly used for dimming, motor and lighting control, and other power control applications.
