Lab
S-314 is part of the Heeger Lab at the University of California at Santa Barbara. The lab focuses on vision, perception, and the role of attention in both. S-314 is a course offered within the lab that introduces the major psychological processes involved in visual perception. Students learn about different aspects of visual perception, such as how we encode, recognize, and interpret visual stimuli, and how vision interacts with other perceptual functions. They also discuss topics such as visual attention, object recognition, and visual illusions. Through lectures, readings, and laboratory experiments, students explore current research in the field and gain hands-on experience in applying this knowledge.
