L64714QC-40 is an ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) designed and manufactured by LSI Corporation. It is a single-chip, high-performance communications processor designed for the networking market. It integrates a 24-bit processor core, communications instruction set and memory protection functions, and high-speed interfaces such as IEEE 802.3, ATM and other asynchronous transfer mode communications interfaces. The device is available in two package formats, a 208-pin PQFP and a 208-pin LQFP. It is suitable for use in wide area networks, metropolitan area networks and local area networks for applications such as routers, switches, access concentrators, video gateways and video servers.
