NORPS-12 is a custom Low-Noise Readout Photon Sensor (LNRPS) produced by Luna Optoelectronics. It is designed for near-infrared (NIR) imaging applications, such as room temperature astronomical or medical imaging. The sensor has a 12-bit A/D output with 8-phase clock support and is available in single-pixel or multi-pixel formats with a choice of size from 1×1 to 128×128. The active area of NORPS-12 is 710 µm × 535 µm and its spectral range is from 0.8 µm to 1.7 µm. The sensor is designed for low read noise, high dynamic range and low dark current, making it suitable for near-infrared imaging applications.
