Marathon 9200610 is the tenth marathon race in the 2000 series of long-distance running events, organized by Marathon Mexico, held annually in Mexico City, Mexico. The race marks each year's Marathon Mexico championships, and is considered by many to be one of the most challenging runs of its kind in the world. Marathon 9200610 features a 42.195 km (26.219 mi) course, spanning the entire city, with a variety of terrain and a few significant hills near the end. Racers are allowed to wear iPods throughout the entire race, making it the only marathon to permit such technology. The route incorporates monuments, boroughs, and parks of Mexico City, including passing by the city's iconic Palacio de Bellas Artes. Runners are provided on-site medical support and drinking water is provided every two kilometers. There are also many food/supplement aid stations along the way.
