KM-23 GY is a single-motor, lightweight electric propulsion system designed for large electric-powered aircraft. The two engine components of the propulsion system are the DC electric motor and the gearbox. The electric motor, with a power rating of up to 55kW, is brushless and three-phase and is connected to the gearbox, which transmits the power from the electric motor to the aircraft propeller. The motor and gearbox are both mounted on a common frame, which provides additional stiffness. The system weighs just over 200 kg and produces low vibration, low noise, and excellent efficiency. The electric motor is also suitable for operation in extreme environmental and geographical conditions, such as high temperature, humidity, and altitude. MASZCZYK electric propulsion systems have been successfully used on a variety of unmanned aerial vehicles, fixed wing aircraft and military helicopters.
