SP481E / SP485E Enhanced Low Power Half-Duplex RS-485 Transceivers Description FEATURES The SP481E and SP485E are a family of half-duplex transceivers that 5V only meet the specifications of RS-485 and RS-422 serial protocols with Low power BiCMOS Driver / receiver enable for multi-drop enhanced ESD performance. The ESD tolerance has been improved configurations on these devices to over 15kV for both Human Body Model and Low power shutdown mode (SP481E) IEC61000-4-2 Air Discharge Method. These devices are pin-to-pin Enhanced ESD specifications: compatible with MaxLinears SP481 and SP485 devices as well as 15kV Human Body Model popular industry standards.
