XRA1202 8-BIT I2C/SMBUS GPIO EXPANDER WITH RESET SEPTEMBER 2011 REV. 1.0.0 FEATURES GENERAL DESCRIPTION 1.65V to 3.6V operating voltage 2 The XRA1202 is an 8-bit GPIO expander with an I C/ SMBus interface. After power-up, the XRA1202 has 8 General Purpose I/Os (GPIOs) internal 100K ohm pull-up resistors on each I/O pin 5V tolerant inputs that can be individually enabled. Maximum stand-by current of 1uA at +1.8V In addition, the GPIOs on the XRA1202 can 2 individually be controlled and configured. As outputs, I C/SMBus bus interface the GPIOs can be outputs that are high, low or in 2 I C clock frequency up to 400kHz three-state mode. The three-state mode feature is useful for applications where the power is removed Noise filter on SDA and SCL inputs from the remote devices, but they may still be 2 Up to 16 I C Slave Addresses connected to the GPIO expander. Individually programmable outputs The XRA1202 is an enhanced version of the Output Level Control PCA9538. The XRA1202 is pin and software Output Three-State Control compatible with the PCA9538 (note: software 2 Open-drain active low interrupt output registers are compatible to the PCA9538, but the I C slave address is different).
