MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) is an iterative, systems-level design methodology used to develop predictable, efficient, and cost-effective engineering solutions. MBSE is a transdisciplinary approach, utilizing diverse disciplines such as computer science, enterprise systems engineering, mathematics, and management science, to create an overall systems design from high level concepts and goals to low-level details and components. MBSE 19273 brings together validated design products, activities and tasks into a common set of processes used to understand and address customer needs, assess architectural alternatives, and develop the system’s design. Through modeling and simulation, MBSE 19273 enables the integration of information and analysis within the system design to better predict performance, ensure quality, and reduce development cost and time.
