Functional Diagram 4. General Description 1 The MLX90251 is a CMOS Programmable, Ratiometric Supply Linear Hall Effect sensor IC. The linear output voltage is proportional to the magnetic flux density. The OPA Filter ratiometric output voltage is proportional to the OPA OPA 4 supply voltage. The MLX90251 possesses active error correction circuitry, which virtually eliminates the 3 offset errors normally associated with analog Hall 2 Effect devices. All the parameters of the MLX90251 Program transfer characteristic are fully programmable. The decoder V (V B = 0 Gauss), the Sensitivity, the slope OQ OUT polarity, the Output Clamping levels, the thermal Shift Register Sensitivity drift, the internal bias point and a low-pass E E P R O M filter are all programmable in end-user applications. The MLX90251 has a very stable thermal Figure 1-1 Functional Diagram compensation for both the Sensitivity and the V over OQ a broad temperature range. For traceability purpose Pin Out the MLX90251 will carry a unique ID number programmed by Melexis and 24 bits of EEPROM VA package memory are allocated for a user programmed serial V 1 DD number.
