25C040/P Microchip

The 25C040/P is a non-volatile, serial random access memory (SRAM) chip manufactured by Microchip Technology Inc. It has a 4K x 8 configuration, with a 256-byte page size. It features a 5V low voltage interface, fast access time, and low power consumption. It is ideal for applications requiring the storing of data like calibration values and settings, as well as information requiring frequent updating. The 25C040/P is available in a 20-pin DIP package with an access time of 140 ns. It offers both an internally self-timed write cycle with Auto-Store and a hardware erase/write switched mode for faster write cycles of 10 microseconds.
