93C56B-E/SN is a 64-bit EEPROM from Microchip. It is an organizationally unique identifier (OUI) compliant device that includes a unique factory-lasered, 48-bit serial-number (SN) imprint. The device features a 5.0 V operating voltage range, a write cycle endurance rating of 100,000 cycles, and low standby power consumption (1 µA max). It can store up to 8,192 bits of data and is initialized at the time of manufacture. It is completely compatible with the industry-standard I2C and Microwire protocols. The device is available in small 8-pin PDIP, SOIC, and TSSOP packages, and is well suited for a variety of applications, including remote device authentication and electronic tracking.
