EMC1043 1C Triple Temperature Sensor with Beta Compensation and Hotter of Two Zones Datasheet PRODUCT FEATURES General Description Features Supports two External Temperature Diodes The EMC1043 is a family of System Management Bus 1C Accuracy (40C to 80C) (SMBus) temperature sensors that monitors three 0.125C Resolution temperature zones, one internal diode and two Ideality Factor Configuration externally connected diodes, for PC and embedded Accepts 2200pF Cap Across External Diodes for Noise environments. The EMC1043 includes beta Suppression compensation circuitry to correct for variation in the beta Optional Resistive Error Correction on External Diode 2 of measurement transistors. Other extended features Resistance Error Correction (up to 100 Ohms) include resistance error correction and ideality factor Beta Compensation configuration to eliminate major sources of temperature 1 measurement error. Internal Temperature Diode 3C Accuracy (0C to 85C) An added feature to the EMC1043 is a function that 0.125C Resolution automatically compares the two external temperature zones and reports the hotter of the two temperatures. Low Power Operation Selectable conversion rates and standby mode support 4uA Standby Current low-power operation. The temperature measurement 3.0V to 3.6V Supply ranges support two data ranges (and formats), -64C to Programmable Conversion Rate +127C and -64C to +191C.
