HV9803 LED Driver IC with Average-Mode Constant Current Control Features General Description Fast Average Current Control The HV9803 is an open-loop, Average-mode current Correction for Propagation Delay and Offset control LED driver IC operating in a constant Offtime Voltage mode. The IC features 2% current accuracy and tight Fixed Offtime Switching Mode line and load regulation of the LED current without any Linear Dimming Input need for loop compensation or high-side current PWM Dimming Input sensing. Its auto-zero circuit cancels the effect of both Output Short-Circuit Protection with the input offset voltage and the propagation delay in the Programmable Skip Mode current sense comparator. Input Undervoltage Shutdown The HV9803 can be powered from a 7V to 13.2V supply. The IC features fast PWM dimming response. Applications The linear dimming input LD can accept a reference voltage of up to 2.5V. Backlighting of LCD Panels The IC is equipped with a current limit comparator for General Lighting Hiccup-mode output short-circuit protection. It also features a programmable input undervoltage shutdown.
