MCP9808 0.5C Maximum Accuracy Digital Temperature Sensor Features Description Accuracy: Microchip Technology Inc.s MCP9808 digital temperature sensor converts temperatures between - 0.25 (typical) from -40C to +125C -20C and +100C to a digital word with - 0.5C (maximum) from -20C to 100C 0.25C/0.5C (typical/maximum) accuracy. - 1C (maximum) from -40C to +125C The MCP9808 comes with user-programmable registers User-Selectable Measurement Resolution: that provide flexibility for temperature sensing - +0.5C, +0.25C, +0.125C, +0.0625C applications. The registers allow user-selectable User-Programmable Temperature Limits: settings such as Shutdown or Low-Power modes and - Temperature Window Limit the specification of temperature Alert window limits and critical output limits. When the temperature changes - Critical Temperature Limit beyond the specified boundary limits, the MCP9808 User-Programmable Temperature Alert Output outputs an Alert signal. The user has the option of setting Operating Voltage Range: 2.7V to 5.5V the Alert output signal polarity as an active-low or active- Operating Current: 200 A (typical) high comparator output for thermostat operation, or as a Shutdown Current: 0.1 A (typical) temperature Alert interrupt output for microprocessor- 2 2-wire Interface: I C/SMBus Compatible based systems. The Alert output can also be configured as a critical temperature output only.
