MIC5255 150 mA Low Noise Cap CMOS LDO Features General Description Input Voltage Range: 2.7V to 6.0V The MIC5255 is an efficient, precise CMOS voltage regulator optimized for ultra-low-noise applications. It Thin SOT Package: 1 mm Height SOT-23-5 offers 1% initial accuracy, extremely-low dropout Ultra-Low Output Noise: 30 V RMS voltage (135 mV at 150 mA) and low ground current Stability with Ceramic Output Capacitors (typically 117 A at full load). The MIC5255 provides a Ultra-Low Dropout: 135 mV 150 mA very low noise output, ideal for RF applications where High output accuracy: a clean voltage source is required. A noise bypass pin - 1.0% Initial Accuracy is also available for further reduction of output noise. - 2.0% Over Temperature Designed specically for handheld and battery powered devices, the MIC5255 provides a Low Quiescent Current: 90 A TTL-logic-compatible enable pin. When disabled, Tight Load and Line Regulation power consumption drops nearly to zero. TTL-Logic-Controlled Enable Input The MIC5255 also works with low-ESR ceramic Zero Off-Mode Current capacitors, reducing the amount of board space Thermal Shutdown and Current-Limit Protection necessary for power applications, critical in handheld wireless devices. Applications Cellular Telephones and Pagers Key features include current limit, thermal shutdown, faster transient response, and an active clamp to speed Cellular Accessories up device turn-off. Available in the 6-pin 2 mm 2 mm Battery-Powered Equipment VDFN package, the SOT-23-5 package and the Thin Laptop.
