MIC5357 High Performance, Low Noise Dual 500mA ULDO General Description Features The MIC5357 is a tiny Dual Ultra Low Dropout (ULDO) 2.6V to 5.5V input voltage range linear regulator ideally suited for portable electronics due Ultra low dropout voltage: 130mV 500mA to its low output noise. The MIC5357 provides two Ultra low output noise: 51V RMS independently controlled high performance 500mA LDOs 2% initial output accuracy with typical dropout voltage of 130mV at rated load. In addition, the MIC5357 provides a bypass pin to reduce the Small 8-pin ePad MSOP package output noise. Excellent Load/Line transient response The MIC5357 is designed to be stable with small ceramic Fast start up time: 38s output capacitors thereby reducing required board space Cap stable with 2.2F ceramic capacitors and component cost. The combination of extremely low Thermal shutdown protection dropout voltage, low output noise and exceptional thermal Low quiescent current: 160A with both outputs at package characteristics makes it ideal for powering RF maximum load and noise sensitive circuitry, cellular phone camera modules, imaging sensors for digital still cameras, PDAs, Current-limit protection MP3 players and WebCam applications. The MIC5357 ULDO is available in fixed output voltages Applications in the small 8-pin ePad MSOP package. Additional voltage options are available.
