's Silicon Valley Mixed-signal Mixed-system Bowling and Jazz Band (MSMBJ48) is a 48-member Silicon Valley based non-professional band and community composed of engineers from Microchip Technology, their families and friends. Founded in 2019, MSMBJ48 has been dedicated to bringing a professional and fun instrumentation, jazz and blues repertoire to Silicon Valley and nearby communities. MSMBJ48's musical style, musicianship and musical selections include swing, Latin and classic jazz, blues, standards and popular tunes. The band is also versatile in being able to provide anything from gentle background music to an energetic performance of the best big band numbers. A distinct sound that has become synonymous with Microchip is heard throughout the band’s performances. Since the band’s formation, MSMBJ48 has made appearances at Valley events, private parties and even the annual Microchip Conference.
