The Microchip RN4020-V/RM110 is a small form factor, low power, Bluetooth 4.2 certified module. It features an integrated TCP/IP stack, on-board encryption, AT command interface, and comprehensive development tools. The module is designed for example applications in the Internet of Things (IoT), such as remote control, wearable device, healthcare and home automation. The RN4020 is a fully qualified Bluetooth 4.2 specification module supporting a 2.4GHz operation and integrated security hardware. It has a maximum RF output power of +8dBm and data rates up to 1Mbps. The module comes in two options; a version without an external antenna and an option with a removable U.FL antenna for flexibility. The RN4020-V/RM110 features 128-bit AES security co-processor, permanent secure connections to support up to eight Bluetooth low energy connections, and embedded GATT services to send and receive data from mobile devices. The module also supports up to five simultaneous roles and offers a shortcut connection feature for fast connections.
