SG1846/SG 2 8 46/SG 3846 Current Mode PWM Controller Description Features Automatic Feed-forward Compensation The SG1846 family of control ICs provides the required features to implement Fixed Frequency, Current mode Programmable Pulse by Pulse Current Limiting control schemes while maintaining a minimum external Automatic Symmetry Correction in Push-pull parts count. The advanced performance of this Configuration technique can be measured in improved line regulation, Enhanced Load Response Characteristics enhanced load response characteristics, and a simpler, Parallel Operation Capability for Modular Power easier-to-design control loop. Topological advantages Systems include, inherent pulse-by-pulse current limiting Differential Current Sense Amplifier with Wide capability, automatic symmetry correction for push-pull Common-mode Range converters, and the ability to parallel power modules Double Pulse Suppression while maintaining equal current sharing. 200mA Totem-pole Outputs Protection circuitry includes built-in under-voltage 1% Bandgap Reference lockout and programmable current limit in addition to Under-voltage Lockout soft start capability. A shutdown function is also Soft-start and Shutdown Capability available which can initiate either a complete shutdown with automatic restart, or latch the supply off. 500kHz Operation Other features include fully latched operation, double- pulse suppression, dead-time adjust capability, and a High Reliability Features 1% trimmed bandgap reference.
