The SMBJ5.0CA TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) is a RoHS-compliant (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive Compliant) diode designed and manufactured by Microdiode Electronics. It is a dual common anode with an ultra low capacitance of 5 pF. This device is primarily used to protect TTL circuits from transient voltage surges, ESD, and lightning induction. It provides an effective clamp for both positive and negative transient voltage surges, with clamping levels of 5.0V and a surge current capability of 500 amps, and it can be used in various applications including modems, network interface cards, and more. The DO-214AA DOAC package is suitable for automated assembly processes.
