The M8224 is a macro-microtransceiver, which is a programmable IC that can be used to convert a wide variety of digital signals. It is a highly integrated programmable 8" x 8" mixed signal device with both single-ended and differential I/O, which can be configured to support multiple communication protocols and functions. The M8224 supports bus standard protocols such as CAN, I2C and USB as well as proprietary languages such as Intel Hex, SPI and Xilinx JEDEC. It supports multiple function blocks such as analog-to-digital converters, voltage-controlled oscillators, pulse-width modulators, logic-level converters and a hardware debug interface. The M8224 can be used for a variety of applications including industrial control, signal conditioning, embedded data acquisition and battery monitoring systems.
