The PW48-16 is a transformer manufactured by Microtran, Inc. It is a wide-bandwidth transformer designed for high frequency applications. It is available in three sizes, 1, 2 and 4 ports. With port 1 having an impedance of 75 ohms and ports 2, 3, and 4 all having an impedance of 50 ohms. The design provides a 1:2 impedance transformation ratio between these ports, making it ideal for applications such as impedance matching, signal splitting and combining. In terms of power handling, the PW48-16 is available in 20K, 40K, and 80K versions, with 1W, 2W, and 4W ratings, respectively. The PW48-16 also features a high input/output isolation rating of better than 140dB. The transformer is designed for high power use and can handle up to 300 watts (depending on size variant) with a maximum frequency range of 0 - 500 MHz.
