The SN7492N is a 4-bit bi-directional universal shift register logic chip produced by Texas Instruments. It is designed to be used as a shift register, a storage register, a memory locator, a data selector/multiplexer, and a buffer. The chip features four 4-bit parallel data inputs and outputs, four single-bit input and output lines, and a clock input.
