DIRECTIONS FOR SELF-CALIBRATION Prior to calibration make sure you have the required pieces of the calibration kit. Also be sure to preset the regulator flow rate to 50ppm, and connect the Tygon tubing to the regulator. You will need: Your Sensorcon Meter/Detector Calibration Gas Regulator (series 400 or 500 depending on gas bottle size) Tygon tubing Below is a list of steps to successfully calibrate your detector yourself. 1. Hold both buttons on the bottom of the detector screen labeled Mute & Max and the unit will count down from 10, after this you will see CAL on the screen. 2. Press the MAX button and you will see a 30 second countdown begin (you will see the screen start counting down) 3. After the countdown the screen will read CAL DONE and the detector will display a number (this is your baseline) and will also say GAS) 4. At this point you want to hook up the Tygon tubing from the regulator to the inlet port on the top center of the meter. 5. Turn the bottle of gas on (with regulator attached and set to 50ppm flow rate) and press MAX button. This will start a 60 second countdown, at the end of this the unit will read CAL DONE. 6. Your detector is not properly calibrated and ready to use.
