MP1593 3A, 28V, 385kHz Step-Down Converter The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP1593 is a step-down regulator with an 3A Output Current internal Power MOSFET. It achieves 3A of Programmable Soft-Start continuous output current over a wide input 100m Internal Power MOSFET Switch supply range with excellent load and line Stable with Low ESR Output Ceramic regulation. Capacitors Up to 95% Efficiency Current mode operation provides fast transient 20 A Shutdown Mode response and eases loop stabilization. Fixed 385kHz Frequency Fault condition protection includes cycle-by-cycle Thermal Shutdown current limiting and thermal shutdown. An Cycle-by-Cycle Over Current Protection adjustable soft-start reduces the stress on the Wide 4.75V to 28V Operating Input Range input source at startup. In shutdown mode the Output Adjustable from 1.22V regulator draws 20A of supply current.
