MP3202 1.3A Fixed Frequency White LED Driver The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP3202 is a step-up converter designed for 2.5V to 6V Input Voltage Range driving up to 39 white LEDs (13 strings of 3 LEDs On Board Power MOSFET each) from a 5V system rail. The MP3202 uses a Drives up to 39 White LEDs at 5V Input current mode, fixed frequency architecture to Up to 92% Efficiency regulate the LED current, which is measured Over 1MHz Fixed Switching Frequency through an external current sense resistor. Its low Open Load Shutdown 104mV feedback voltage reduces power loss and Low 104mV Feedback Voltage improves efficiency. The OV pin monitors the Soft-Start/PWM Dimming output voltage and turns off the converter if an UVLO, Thermal Shutdown over-voltage condition is present due to an open Internal 1.3A Current Limit circuit condition. Available in TSOT23-6 and QFN8 Packages The MP3202 includes under-voltage lockout, APPLICATIONS current limiting and thermal overload protection preventing damage in the event of an output Cell Phones overload. Handheld Computers and PDAs Digital Still Cameras The MP3202 is available in small 6-pin TSOT23 Small LCD Displays or 8-pin QFN (2mm x 2mm) packages.
