MP6211/MP6212 3.3V/5V, Single-Channel 1A Current-Limited Power Distribution Switches The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES 1A Continuous Current The MP6211/MP6212 single-channel Power Accurate Current Limit Distribution Switch features internal current limiting 2.7V to 5.5V Supply Range to prevent damage to host devices due to faulty load conditions. The MP6211/MP6212 Analog switch has 90uA Quiescent Current 90m on-resistance and operates from 2.7V to 5.5V 90m MOSFET input. It is available with guaranteed current limits, Thermal-Shutdown Protection making it ideal for load switching applications. The Under-Voltage Lockout MP6211/MP6212 has built-in protection for both 8ms FLAG Deglitch Time over current and increased thermal stress. For over No FLAG Glitch During Power Up current, the device will limit the current by changing Reverse Current Blocking to a constant current mode. Active High & Active Low Options As the temperature increases as a result of short SOIC8E package UL Recognized: E322138 circuit, the device will shut off. The device will recover once the device temperature reduces to APPLICATIONS approx 120 C. Smartphone and PDA The MP6211/MP6212 is available in an 8-PIN SOIC Portable GPS Device package with exposed pad. Notebook PC Set-top-box Telecom and Network Systems USB Power Distribution All MPS parts are lead-free, halogen free, and adhere to the RoHS directive.
