MPQ8632D-6, MPQ8632D-12 High Efficiency, 6A/12A, 18V Synchronous Step-down Converter DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MPQ8632D-6/MPQ8632D-12 is a fully 2.5V to 18V Operating Input Range with integrated high frequency synchronous rectified External 5V Bias step-down switch mode converter. It offers a 4.5V to 18V Operating Input Range with very compact solution to achieve 6A/12A output Internal Bias current over a wide input supply range with 6A/12A Output Current excellent load and line regulation. The Low R (ON) Internal Power MOSFETs DS MPQ8632D-6/MPQ8632D-12 operates at high Proprietary Switching Loss Reduction efficiency over a wide output current load Technique range. Adaptive COT for Ultrafast Transient Response The MPQ8632D-6/MPQ8632D-12 uses 0.5% Reference Voltage Over 0 C to 70 C Constant-On-Time (COT) control mode to Junction Temperature Range provide fast transient response and ease loop stabilization. Programmable Soft Start and Shut-down Time An external resistor programs the operating Pre-Bias Start up frequency from 200kHz to 1MHz and the Programmable Switching Frequency from frequency keeps nearly constant as input 200kHz to 1MHz supply varies with the feedforward Non-latch OCP, OVP and Thermal compensation. Shutdown The default under voltage lockout threshold is Output Adjustable from 0.611V to 13V internally set at 4.1V, but a resistor network on APPLICATIONS the enable pin can increase this threshold.
