MPC INDUSTRIES S4104 is a prefabricated, direct-buried, conduit system designed for underground cable containment applications. It is designed to be resistant to ground water leakage and chemical spills. The system is composed of six components: conduit, couplings, end caps, box assemblies, junction boxes, and sealing plugs. The conduit is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and is 5-inches in diameter. The conduit can be cut to various lengths and bent up to a 30 degree angle. The couplings have multiple seals, allowing them to tightly join the conduits. The end caps are used to terminate the system and are designed to be water and chemical proof. Box assemblies allow connections between the system and other ducts, conduits, and junction boxes. The junction boxes allow attached wire to be connected. Lastly, the sealing plugs are inserted at couplings and ends caps to ensure water tightness. This all-in-one system eliminates the need to use multiple components and provides an economical solution while maintaining a high degree of electrical integrity.
