It is typically used for decoding a 3-bit binary number or selecting 1 of 10 address lines by converting two binary inputs into an equivalent 10-bit binary output. This device has an active-low enable (EN) input, when EN is low, the outputs are at logic low (0), and when EN is high, the outputs are at logic high (1). It has a typical propagation delay of 20ns and a maximum quiescent current of 250µA at 4.5V. It is available in a 14-pin dual in-line plastic package.
