The MSC8122TVT4800V is an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) based on NXP’s 8th generation MSC8122 processor. It is a multi-core Digital Signal Processor (DSP) with a 32-bit/64-bit compatible 7-core Central Processing Unit (CPU) running up to 300MHz and connected to four Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) running up to 180 MHz. It has a 431-pin Flip Chip Ball Grid Array (FCBGA) package and is designed for automotive, industrial, and embedded applications. It includes on-chip memory, SRAM, flash memory, and support for DDR2 and DDR3 memory, allowing it to support embedded operating systems, telecommunications software, application-specific programs, and other tasks. It also features 10/100/1000 Ethernet media access controller (MAC). The MSC8122 TVT4800V is available in a tray form that offers ease in handling, storage, and transportation of the chips.
