The Panasonic CY-122A-P is an integrated circuit (IC) designed as a single-chip signal processor for use in video reproduction applications. It is a 20-pin device and incorporates an analog-to-digital converter and a digital signal processor (DSP). The CY-122A-P has several features that enable digital signal processing, such as a program counter and ROM for storing internal data, a high-speed register, and 8-bit memory for storing data inputs. The DSP also includes an 8-bit counter for processing digital signals, as well as a digital-to-analog converter for converting digital output signals into analog signals.
