High Bond Adhesive Backed Mounts SPECIFICATION SHEET specifications Super-Grip High Bond Adhesive High bond adhesive backed mounts shall utilize Backed Mounts multi-purpose acrylic adhesive on both sides of SGABM20-AV-C300: conformable foam. The adhesive shall provide excellent adhesion to a broad range of high and 0.75 (19.1mm) x 0.75 (19.1mm) medium surface energy substrates including metals, SGABM25-AV-C300: glass, and a wide variety of plastics. The conformable 1.00 (25.4mm) x 1.00 (25.4mm) foam shall provide good contact, even with SGABM30-AV-C300: mismatched substrates.* 1.12 (28.6mm) x 1.12 (28.6mm) technical information Material: SGABM: Heat stabilized weather resistant Nylon 6.6 with high bond adhesive Temperature SGABM: -31F to 200F (-35C to 93C) continuous range: Solvent and fuel Water, salt water, hydraulic fluid, 10W30 motor oil, glycol antifreeze resistance: 100% adhesive retention. Kerosene 90% adhesive retention. Isopropyl alcohol, jet fuel 50% adhesive retention. Gasoline 35% adhesive retention. Environmental RoHS compliant compliance: Application Indoor/outdoor environment: key features and benefits High bond adhesive Provides maximum adhesion, especially in harsh, high temperature, outdoor environments extending service life Smooth surfaces and Protect the cable bundle and the installer improving rounded edges productivity, job site safety and reliability Flexible, lightweight material Easily handled improving productivity applications Panduit high bond adhesive backed mounts marine, heavy equipment, white goods, and are a reliable and cost-effective solution for automotive industries. The conformable nature securing wires and cables in demanding of the acrylic foam core allows for a strong applications, such as harsh environments. bond to a variety of substrates. Bond strength is dependent upon the amount of adhesive to surface contact developed. Firm application pressure develops better adhesive contact and thus improves bond strength. 2. To obtain optimum adhesion, the bonding surfaces must be clean, dry, and well unified. A typical surface cleaning solvent is isopropyl alcohol and water. Use proper safety precautions for handling solvents. 3. Ideal tape application temperature range is 21C to 38C (70F to 100F). Initial tape application to surfaces at temperatures below 15C is not recommended because the adhesive becomes too firm to adhere readily. However, once properly applied, low temperature holding is generally satisfactory. NOTE: Some paint systems and plastics contain additives which can influence adhesion. Adhesion to these surfaces should be evaluated carefully the effects of these additives can often be overcome by proper cleaning and surface preparation. High humidity/high temperature environments can also affect adhesion to glass due to the hydrophilicity of glass. Under these environments a silane coupling agent (adhesion promoter) has been found to enhance the durability and strength of the bond.
