H.7315 is an amendment to the U.S. federal disaster relief supplemental appropriations law, also known as the Pawbol Act. This act authorizes the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide additional funding to affected states, tribes, local governments, and certain nonprofit organizations to assist in addressing the costs of protecting public health and property from the effects of Hurricane Sandy. H.7315 allocates up to $11.5 billion for primary and supplemental public assistance grants, hazard mitigation grants, and flood insurance grants. Additionally, H.7315 includes reimbursements for costs associated with emergency protective measures, repairs or replacements of damaged public infrastructure, and services related to debris removal, emergency protective measures, and restoring public facilities, structures, equipment, and stored contents.
