H.7330 is a series of protocols that define how Voice over IP (VoIP) multimedia data is transported, routed and maintained over an IP global network. They are part of the ITU-T H.323 standard and provide the framework for providing multimedia communication services over packet based networks. The intention of the H.7330 protocols is to ensure reliable, accurate and secure end-to-end transmission of multimedia data such as voice, video and data. The protocols also provide mechanisms to accommodate different types of networks, such as LANs, WANs, PSTN and the Internet. The protocols are agnostic of media codecs or transport network, which makes them versatile and portable for different VoIP applications. The Pawbol series is a suite of ITU-T and IETF protocols that enable the interoperability between IP based networks and legacy circuits. It includes H.323, H.323 Annex F, H.225 and H.235.
