(PCE)
PCE, or Proactive Change Engineering, is a software platform developed by Siemens to help organizations standardize and streamline their root-cause analyses. It is composed of four main parts: the graphical user interface (GUI), the analytics engine, the virtual agent, and the material library.
1. GUI: PCE's graphical user interface (GUI) aims to make root-cause analyses easier and allows users to simply and quickly visualize the progress of the analysis. With the interface, users can identify potential root causes and view the underlying connections quickly.
2. Analytics Engine: PCE's analytics engine uses data from the GUI and other data sources to identify potential root causes and correlations between different factors and conditions in order to refine the analysis process.
3. Virtual Agent: The PCE virtual agent assists with root-cause analysis by monitoring the analysis process, providing recommendations and guidance, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
4. Material Library: PCE's material library houses knowledge items related to known problems, best practices, and guidelines. This library is used to give users access to a source of reliable information to support their analyses.
