The Pololu S18V20F6 is an 18V, 2A, step-up/step-down voltage regulator. It is a compact and convenient solution for efficiently providing a regulated 6V output from input voltages between 6V and 40V, including the nominal 6V output from an 18V wall adapter. The device includes protection from overcurrent, overtemperature, and reverse-voltage, allowing it to switch safely between input sources such as 6V wall adapters regulated to 8V, 12V wall adapters regulated to 20V, and automotive systems that can go up to 40V. It has a low dropout of just 250mV to ensure good efficiency and power output. The device features a programmable switching frequency and can be used with a variety of external components to support a wide range of customized designs.
