Additional Infomation About Product

The Pololu QTR-HD-11RC Reflectance Sensor Array is a slotted optical detector designed for use in applications such as line-following robots. This array contains 11 individual sensors, each consisting of an LED and a phototransistor pair. When the LED shines light on a surface, the phototransistor senses the amount of reflected light, and this signal is used to measure the reflectance of the surface. The QTR-HD-11RC can be used to detect dark objects on light backgrounds by discriminating between dark and light reflectances. It provides analog outputs that are easy to use with microcontroller or processor-based projects. This sensor array requires an external power source and is also available in a black anodized aluminum package.
