Additional Infomation About Product

QTR-MD-03A Reflectance Sensor Array is a digital, ambient-light sensor board from Pololu. It consists of an array of three pairs each of long-wave infrared (LWIR) reflectance sensors and a photosensor. The LWIR sensors are used to detect the presence of objects, while the photosensor provides an global ambient light detection. The LWIR reflectance sensors work by detecting the presence of an object in front of them by monitoring the ambient light level. The LWIR sensors provide a precise reading of the light emitted from the objects and are particularly useful in accurately determining the ambient light level in a darkened environment. The photosensor provides a very wide-range of ambient light readings, enabling the user to easily read the global ambient light level. The board also features a built-in LED, which can be used for debugging and testing applications.
