The PT2258-S is an Video-Audio Interface IC from Princeton Technology developed in a 20-pin SOP-300 mil package. It is compliant with the RoHS directive and is designed for use in audio, television, DVD and other consumer appliances. The chip offers a digital I2S input for direct connection of digital audio sources like CD players. It provides a galvanic isolation between digital audio source and audio power amplifiers, improving ESD protection performance. The chip also features a volume control function with 4 volume control pins, a mute, a subwoofer/center input, and up to 8 channel inputs. Additionally, PEQ, EQ and other advanced features are included.
