CY Cable LAPP CY LAPP CY cables are number coded control and connection cables with tinned copper braid screen. EMC compliant and space saving installation due to small cable diameters suitable for flexible use and fixed installation. LAPP CY cables are suitable for flexible use and fixed installation for medium mechanical use. They are for use in dry, damp and wet rooms. They may only be installed outdoors with UV protection and in observation of the temperature range generally resistant against acids, caustics solutions and certain oils. LAPP CY cables are used as supply and interconnecting cable for controlling machine tools, production lines, control equipment on conveyors, also for use in measuring regulating and computer units. Suitable for free movement without forced guidance and tensile stress. Typical applications: Measurement and control technology, office machines and systems for data processing. Technical data Conductor : Bare copper, fine wire strand in accordance to IEC 60 228 that is VDE 0295, class 5. Core insulation : PVC compound TI1 in accordance to VDE 0207. Identification : In acc. to VDE 0293, black cores with white numbers with or without green/yellow ground conductor. Braid : Tinned copper wire braid. Outer sheath : Grey PVC compound TM2 in acc. to VDE 0207 Grey RAL 7001. Nominal voltage : 300 / 500 V Test voltage : 3,000 V ac Temperature range : For flexible use -5 up to +70C maximum conductor temperature. Fixed installation -40 up to +80C maximum conductor temperature. Minimum bending radius : Fixed installation 12.5 cable diameter. Flame retardant : In acc. to IEC 60 332.1 resp. VDE 0472 part 804.
