Onboard
The VRTM-2 (Voltage Regulator and Battery Management System) is the latest and most advanced version of Pro Power Onboard’s Voltage Management System. The VRTM-2 is an onboard electrical system that helps ensure the safe and efficient conversion and distribution of energy for any type of vehicular application. It is ideal for vehicles that require greater power management such as recreational vehicles, boats, and vehicles that haul cargo.
The VRTM-2 is made up of six integrated components: voltage regulator, battery monitor, communications module, power relay, surge protector, and ground fault monitor.
The voltage regulator is designed to manage the voltage input from the power source, such as an engine-driven alternator, solar panel, or wind turbine and safely distribute the proper amount of electricity to the devices that require it. The battery monitor ensures that the batteries are properly charged at the safe levels, monitoring voltage and temperature levels, and keeping the battery bank healthy. The communications module connects devices in the system and also receives remote diagnostics if necessary. The power relay prevents a current overload that would occur if too many devices were connected at once. The surge protector guards against voltage spikes, ensuring the system stays safe from damaging overvoltages, and the ground fault monitor is designed to detect any type of short circuit and take corrective action.
The VRTM-2 is a powerful, energy-efficient system that helps to ensure the quality and reliability of the electrical power supply for any type of vehicle. It is easy to install and maintain and offers a comprehensive set of features for maximum electrical system efficiency.
