The SMBJ70A is an unidirectional Surface Mount Transient Voltage Suppressor designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage spikes. It is made by Prosemi and is compliant with the stringent European Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives. The SMBJ70A can protect against voltage transients up to 70 volts and its peak reverse power dissipation is 500 watts. It has an ultra-fast response time, low leakage current of less than 1 µA, and a plastic package that helps minimize mounting losses. The SMBJ70A is ideal for use in applications such as portable electronics, appliances, and industrial equipment.
