The QMC5883L with LGA-16 (3x3x0.9mm) is a Hall sensor manufactured by QST. It is a low power consumption, low noise 3-axis digital compass designed for high accuracy rotor sensing applications. It utilizes an advanced Hall cell technology that provides an enhanced magnetic field resolution and quality signal compared to other Hall sensors. This digital compass has the ability to detect a static magnetic field, and provide tilt-compensated magnetic orientation for the user. It is also able to measure the direction, heading, and heading tilt of a moving platform, and is compatible with microcontrollers and microprocessors. The device is ideal for applications such as magnetic compass sensors, motion trackers, OHV sensors, ground robots, walking robots, medical instruments, industrial instrumentation, and mobile devices. The part is compliant with the RoHS regulation, and is manufactured to meet the needs of today’s high performance applications.
