ISL12030 Real Time Clock with 50/60 Hz Clock and Alarms Data Sheet May 5, 2011 FN6617.2 Low Power RTC with 50/60 Cycle AC Features Input, Alarms and Daylight Savings 50/60 Cycle AC as a Primary Clock Input for RTC Timing Correction Real Time Clock/Calendar The ISL12030 device is a low power real time clock with - Tracks Time in Hours, Minutes, Seconds and tenths of a 50/60 AC input for timing synchronization, clock/calendar Second registers, single periodic or polled alarms. There are 128 - Day of the Week, Day, Month and Year bytes of user SRAM. Auto Daylight Saving Time Correction The oscillator uses a 50/60 cycle sine wave input. The real - Programmable Forward and Backward Dates time clock tracks time with separate registers for hours, Dual Alarms with Hardware and Register Indicators minutes, and seconds. The calendar registers contain the - Hardware Single Event or Pulse Interrupt Mode date, month, year, and day of the week. The calendar is accurate through year 2100, with automatic leap year 128 Bytes of User SRAM correction and auto daylight savings correction. 2 I C Interface - 400kHz Data Transfer Rate Pinout Pb-Free (RoHS Compliant) ISL12030 (8 LD SOIC) TOP VIEW Applications Utility Meters NC 1 8 V DD Control Applications GND 2 7 IRQ Vending Machines AC 3 6 SCL White Goods NC 4 5 SDA Consumer Electronics Ordering Information PART NUMBER PART TEMP RANGE PACKAGE PKG (Notes 1, 2, 3) MARKING V RANGE (C) (Pb-Free) DWG DD ISL12030IBZ 12030 IBZ 2.7V to 5.5V -40 to +85 8 Ld SOIC M8.15 NOTE: 1. These Intersil Pb-free plastic packaged products employ special Pb-free material sets, molding compounds/die attach materials, and 100% matte tin plate plus anneal (e3 termination finish, which is RoHS compliant and compatible with both SnPb and Pb-free soldering operations). Intersil Pb-free products are MSL classified at Pb-free peak reflow temperatures that meet or exceed the Pb-free requirements of IPC/JEDEC J STD- 020. 3. For Moisture Sensitivity Level (MSL), please see device information page for ISL12030. For more information on MSL please see techbrief TB363. CAUTION: These devices are sensitive to electrostatic discharge follow proper IC Handling Procedures. 1 1-888-INTERSIL or 1-888-468-3774 Copyright Intersil Americas Inc. 2007, 2008, 2011.
